Besides taste and quality, our turkeys are ethically raised, locally right here in the Fraser Valley. Trevor and Donna Allen have been long-time family friends, and raise our turkeys on their farm in Chilliwack. Skye-Hi Farms is not your typical farm operation by any stretch. Trevor’s old fashion farming style gives his flocks freedom to roam outdoors on open pasture the way nature intended. No Medications. No Antibiotics. And No Steroids or added Hormones*. We’ll have Fresh Free Range Turkeys available starting on December 18th. Trev delivers our turkeys to each of our stores himself, ensuring they are as fresh as possible (Yes, he’s the farmer and the delivery driver as well!). The birds are sold in two size ranges: 11 to 15 lbs, and 16 to 19 lbs. Though we can’t guarantee exact sizing when you place an order, (We are subject to what Mother Nature provides) we always do our best to provide you with a turkey that’s as close as possible to your size request.
Here’s some guidelines for servings for each turkey size range. Please keep in mind that # of servings does not take into account left overs, so if you are counting on turkey sandwiches… be sure to take that into account :- )

Our Fresh Free Range Turkeys generally cook 20% faster than conventional, or previously frozen birds due to their freshness and higher moisture content in the meat fibres, part of what makes them so tender and tasty. Below are some cooking time guidelines. Note: A meat thermometer should always be used to ensure that the internal temperature in thickest part of the thigh reaches 170F before serving.
