Shrimp Chowder

The perfect way to warm a cool night

Ingredients You'll Need

  • 1/4 lb. Meridian Double Smoked Bacon, Sliced
  • 1/ Cup Celery, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/3 cup onion, finely diced
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, diced
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups potatoes, cubed
  • 1/2 lb. Meridian premium shrimp
  • 2 Tbsp. dry white wine
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • pinch of pepper

Directions

  1. Par boil cubed potatoes until el dente
  2. In a large stock pot saute bacon, celery, garlic and onions in margarine.
  3. Add cream cheese and milk; and stir over low heat until cream cheese is completely melted
  4. Add par boiled potatoes, shrimp, dry white wine and salt & pepper. Heat thorough, stirring occasionally and then serve
